In the back of this book is the short story "The Beginning." It is a story that was written many years ago to explain the birth of the Dark-Hunters. For those of you who haven't read it on the Web site, I would ask that you read it before you start the novel.

It doesn't have to be read that way, but I think it would enhance the story of Alexion and Danger if you were to read it first.
