Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! This was not supposed to fucking happen. I heard gunfire everywhere, so much that we had no fucking clue where it was all coming from. Fuck.
Firing back was getting us nowhere, and at this point we were getting backed into a fucking corner. This meeting with Rabbit was not supposed to fucking happen like this. Talk. That’s all this was about. Yeah, fucking right. Tell that to the fucking bullet whizzing by my head.
When we arrived, Rabbit’s crew was waiting for us. What we didn’t expect was the T-Dart crew to be with him. T-Dart’s had a thing for us from several years ago that I only heard about by word of mouth. It was said that T-Dart’s leader, Zane and Diamond had a falling-out over some land, but that dispute was settled a long time ago with us acquiring the land. But with Zane having died about a year ago, his boy Paine took over the gavel. Paine was a mean motherfucker, who apparently didn’t see this beef as settled any longer as the gun he had pointed at us was shooting bullets one after another.
Having ridden bikes here, the only blockage we had was the cage that Tug and Buzz followed us in, but it was about twenty feet away, and getting to it was becoming a challenge. Instead, we were using our bikes as a shield. Diamond, Pops, G.T., Dagger, Rhys, Zed, Becs, and I were all shooting to save each other lives. But the bullets kept coming.
“Get behind us, Diamond!” Dagger yelled over the gunfire. He must have realized, too, that this shit was going bad really quickly. But like always, Diamond stood with us, not wanting the protection that we needed him to have right now.
As the fire continued, we took a small opportunity to move to the cage, quickly. Everything from this moment happened in slow motion. More gunfire.
Diamond rushed to the cage as shots began hitting him. G.T. pushed him out of the way trying to block him. Shots continued as they stuck G.T. Running after him; Dagger covered me as I grabbed G.T. under his arms and pulled him behind the cage. Pops was on Diamond pulling him out of the line of fire. Suddenly the sound of automatics started ringing through the air as grunts and groans filled everything.
Pops was with Diamond while I looked over G.T. to see the wounds. He had a shot to his chest and one to his shoulder. So much fucking blood. Shit! Pulling off my cut and then my t-shirt, I covered the wound, putting as much pressure on it as I could, to stop the bleeding. The automatic was still going off, but there were no shots coming from the other guys. “What the fuck is going on?!” I yelled.
“Tug and Buzz!” Dagger shot out. “They’re holding them off. I’m going in.” Dagger jumped into the side door of the cage grabbing one of the autos inside and began shooting at everything that wasn’t us.
“Pops! We gotta get out of here… G.T.’s bleeding bad!” Looking over at Pops, I could see his arms were wrapped around Diamond. “Pops!”
He looked over at me. “He’s gone.”
Vomit seeped into my mouth. Gone? What the fuck? “Everyone in the fucking cage! Now!” I barked as we all loaded quickly. “Fucking drive!”
Buzz jumped into the driver’s seat, speeding down the road right after everyone piled in on top of each other. G.T. lied in my arms while Pops continued to hold Diamond. Dagger was on the phone with who I’d assume was Doc, so he’d be waiting for us. As the cage sped away, the shots ceased, and we somehow got the fuck out.
“Talk Pops,” Zed said from the corner staring at the sight in front of us.
“He’s gone. Diamond’s dead.” His voice was solemn and broken. “How’s my boy?” He asked, looking at me.
“Bleeding a lot. Bullet hit something.”
“Fuck!” Pops yelled. “Drive faster!” he barked at Buzz, who slammed on the gas.
Pulling up to the clubhouse, Dagger, and I carried a barely conscious G.T. in, laying him on the pool table. The gasps came from the bitches in the corner. “Get the fuck out!” I yelled as they scurried away. Doc was already there and waiting.
Pops and Zed carried in Diamond placing him on the couch. Doc went over to him first, feeling the side of his throat. “He’s gone. Cover him up,” he barked, rushing over to G.T. “What the fuck happened here? They shot his fucking artery.”
Doc didn’t expect us to answer but got straight to work on patching up G.T. As he barked shit he needed, Breaker was on the move.
“Lockdown this fucking place, now! Get your families here, now!” Pops barked out as he grabbed his phone and dialed, no doubt getting Ma here.
I did the same. “Princess, get Cooper and get to the clubhouse now!” I said as soon as she answered.
“What’s going on?”
“I’ll explain when you get here. Come now. Load the cage up with shit for us for a couple weeks. And move fast.”
“Got it. Be there soon.” I hung up, going back to G.T.’s side. He lay there completely out of it while Doc did whatever the hell he was doing.
“Go to my van, get the blue cooler. It’s got blood,” Doc barked to no one in particular, but Zed was closest to the door and took off.
After Doc stitched and pumped G.T. full of blood, he removed his gloves, snapping them as he did. “He needs rest and take these meds, but he should live.” He reached in his bag pulling out a vial and needle. “This is morphine. He needs it every four hours for today. I’ll be back tomorrow morning and see what he needs from there.”
“I’ll do it,” I said knowing that Princess would be more than likely the one that would be at his side whether he liked it or not.
“Fine. Put him in his bed and don’t let him move except to get up and piss. He’ll be coming to at any time.” Doc turned to Pops. “What do you want to do with Diamond?”
“Know a guy at the cemetery. We’ll get him fixed up.” Doc nodded and headed out the door.
Fuck! I knew what this meant. We were at war.
